Thoughts are Things
Thoughts are Things (a poem)
Inside our minds we think of things
That sometimes aren't the best.
Our conscience usually steps in
We ask ourselves how we would feel
If they were meant for us,
And if we're honest we realize
We wouldn't like it much.
But now and then, we think a thought
We really can't let go.
We think it though we understand
It's going to grow and grow.
Sometimes, we have to take the risk
Sometimes we need that pain,
And we accept it for what it is,
And start to grow again.
