Blame it on the Moon
Rising tides of sea
Hide the heart’s heavinessBelow resentful waves tipped with froth and fear.
Sand can’t hold our imprints,
The markings fill with bitterness,
Washed away over and over
Only to return on Ocean’s wide shoulders,
Until out of exhaustion
It cries out ‘Enough!’
For strength is not
unlimited,
And courage is finite.
The Moon doesn’t care,
She keeps pulling the waters to her
Out of a selfish desire not to be
Alone, anymore.
And courage is finite.
The Moon doesn’t care,
She keeps pulling the waters to her
Out of a selfish desire not to be
Alone, anymore.
